Cafe chain Pret a Manger has been forced to close one of its Kent branches for several days amid a staff shortage.
The popular coffee shop and eatery in Canterbury high street - one of more than 460 Pret sites nationwide - is believed to have been shut since the weekend.
The closure has caused dismay among regular customers, including those signed up to Pret's monthly coffee subscription - with some concerned it could be a permanent move.
A sign in the cafe's window says the city branch is shut "due to unforeseen circumstances" and apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused.
But the firm has since confirmed the closure is due to a temporary shortage of staff.
The branch will reopen at 8am tomorrow (Saturday).
Pret declined to provide further information, and would not comment on the reason behind the staff shortage.
