Around 700 Peter Andre fans queued up to meet and greet the Aussie pop star as he signed copies of his new album at HMV Canterbury on Sunday.
Fans of all ages waited in anticipation of his arrival at 2pm with a queue leading from inside the store, along St Margaret’s Street and into High Street.
Before sitting down to sign autographs, CDs, posters and calendars and pose for pictures, he talked to kmfm yesterday about this series of Strictly Come Dancing.
He said: “I’m really enjoying the experience and I want to thank everybody that is not only voting for me, but people just watching it.
“It’s all about being on TV in people’s living rooms Saturday night, it’s great fun.”
Mr Andre explained his busy schedule and that he was looking forward to seeing the people of Canterbury.
“I’m doing Strictly Come Dancing, the album’s called Come Fly With Me and the tour is called Come Swing With Me so we’re asking everyone to come along! I want to make the shows really good and entertain everybody.
“I have my two daughters coming with me, my wife, my mum and dad, one of my brothers it’s going to be a real family affair and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in Canterbury.”
One of the first in line was Lisa Smithard, she said: “I started queuing at 10am.
“I was with my sister and she is a big fan - he is a good singer and we are really enjoying him on Strictly Come Dancing at the moment - it’s the only reason we are watching it!”
Fans were quick to post their pictures with the Strictly Come Dancing star on Twitter.

Donna Irving said: “Thanks again for visiting Canterbury, it was great to see you and your family. Congratulations on your new album.”
Perry O’Bree said: “So great to meet the lovely @MrPeterAndre today @hmvcanterbury. I got a pic inside too!”
Andre, 42, is the ex-husband of glamour model Katie Price and is appearing in the hit BBC1 dancing competition alongside celebrties, including chef Ainsley Harriott, TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher and singer Jamelia.
