A popular luxury supermarket chain will open its doors to the public next month.

Customers will get their first taste of the new M&S Food hall on Wednesday, February 22 at 10am.

The store is located at the new Prospect Retail Park, Prospect Way, next to the Estuary View Medical Centre in Whitstable and will bring 68 jobs to the area.

It will offer free parking from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

The new development also boasts a 40 seat cafe with seating overlooking the estuary.

Store manager Jamie Smith has worked with the company for more than 10 years.

He said: "Our new store will offer the very best of M&S food, from traditional favourites to seasonal creations – perfect for a weekly shop or weekend treat."
