After pulling at her coat and demanding her shopping, the man is alleged to have followed the woman into a shop.

The woman alerted the shop staff to his behaviour and the man left the store, police say.

Officers investigating the incident later arrested a 32-year-old man who remains in custody while inquiries are ongoing.

A further report was received of a man behaving suspiciously in the same area earlier that evening, and officers are keen for anyone with information about either incident - which they are treating as linked - to come forward.

Witnesses are urged to contact police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/66983/24.
