A security camera image of a man has been released by British Transport Police who they say stole an £800 mountain bike from Canterbury Station West.
He is pictured wearing a high visibility, flourescent orange boiler suit and the full footage shows him taking the bike from the cycle rack and boarding a London bound train,
The theft happened back in February but the image had only just been released by officers who have so far failed to trace him.
They say his boiler suit also had the company logo of construction firm Balfour Beatty on the back.
Detective Sergeant Leigh Marshall said: "We’ve followed a number of lines of inquiry to try and get a name for this man. They have included extensive checks with Balfour Beatty as his clothing implies he could be a rail worker, but to no avail.
"The CCTV is crystal clear and I am certain that someone will recognise him and be able to give us a name."
