A suspected burglar has appeared in court after cash and jewellery were stolen from a number of Kent homes.
Detectives from the Kent crime squad have been investigating a series of break-ins at properties in Tonbridge, Canterbury, Ashford and Sittingbourne, as well as Berkshire.
Cash, expensive watches, perfume and jewellery were stolen during the offences between Wednesday, September 20 and Friday, October 6.
Following an arrest yesterday, Elson Gjoka was charged with 12 counts of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
The 31-year-old, of Station Road, Maidstone, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, December 4.
The charges come after Rivaldo Toma was charged with four burglary offences as part of the same investigation.
Those charges relate to incidents which took place in Canterbury on Friday, October 6.
Mr Toma, 23, of no fixed address, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, October 11 and was remanded in custody until a date in November.
