Mugly the world's ugliest dog at Whitefriars in Canterbury

A dog crowned the ugliest in the world will be in Canterbury today to fulfill part of his bucket list.

Mugly, a Chinese-crested from Peterborough, was diagnosed with dementia earlier this year.

His owner noticed he was could no longer find his way around the family home and instead would stare into space and get stuck in corners, so she created a list of activities for him to complete before he loses his memory.

A festive kissing booth will be at the Whitefriars Christmas Market from 11.30am today where shoppers can smooch the pooch for £1.

Money raised will to Cinque Ports Rescue - the centre which cared for him before he was re-homed.

Channel 5 will be also be filming for a 2017 Christmas documentary The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies.

Mugly was named 2012's ugliest dog in the world and has also won a hero award for helping people with disabilities.
