Three people have been arrested after a teenager was flown to hospital following a stabbing in Canterbury.
A police cordon remains in place this morning in Beaconsfield Road at the junction with Shaftesbury Road following the serious assault yesterday evening.
Officers found an injured boy aged 17 in Shaftesbury Avenue, Canterbury, who had a stab wound.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance attended and the man was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
A police spokesman confirmed officers were called to a report of a serious assault.
“Following a thorough search of the area, an 18-year-old man, 22-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the assault,” they said.
“The victim and suspects are believed to be known to one another.
“Officers remain in the Shaftesbury Avenue area while inquiries continue.”
An air ambulance was seen taking off from behind the houses at about 8.15pm.
