A man was freed from his car by firefighters after a three-vehicle crash near the Chestfield roundabout.

The Old Thanet Way between Herne Bay and Whitstable was closed in both directions while emergency crews deal with the aftermath of the smash, which happened at about 3.30pm on Friday.

Two fire engines, police officers and an ambulance were called to the scene.
