A man and a woman have been cut free from a car after a crash on the A2.

The serious accident happened on the Dover Road close to the junction with Church Road in Coldred just before midday.

Another man was injured, but was out of his vehicle when emergency services arrived.

The London-bound carriageway was also closed to allow an air ambulance to land.

A man in his 80s was flown to a hospital in the capital with serious injuries, while two others were treated locally.

The collision involved a white Seat Ibiza Connect and a silver Vauxhall Vectra Exclus.
