Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in a skate park in Canterbury in which a teenage boy suffered cuts and bruises.
It happened between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, July 6, at the Thanington park in Ashford Road when the 19-year-old student was set upon by three men.
Investigating officer PC James Murrell said: “In what appears to have been a completely unprovoked attack, one of the men head-butted the victim, who was then assaulted by the two other men.”
The three offenders are all described as aged about 20 and white European.
One had closely-cut dark brown hair, was of a thin build, about 5ft 8in and was wearing a green T-short and black shorts.
The second man was about 5ft 5in tall, had black spiked hair, was of a thin build and was wearing a black T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, a Fila top and shoes with blue soles. He was riding a black and white Vibe BMX bike.
The third attacker was also about the same height with black spiked hair. He was wearing a grey T-shirt, black jeans rolled up at the ankles and blue trainers.
PC Murrell said: “We believe the assault was witnessed by several mothers with children who were in the park at the time and we are appealing for them to contact us.
“All three offenders made off on their push bikes and push scooter along the A28 towards Chartham so may also have been seen by passing motorists.
Any information will help the investigation.”
