A thug who robbed and attacked a friend and then went on to punch a woman in the head has been jailed.
Taylor Houston, 22, lashed out after a heavy night of drinking on New Year's Eve 2016.
He punched his friend, a man in his 20s, while they were at Houston’s house in Gordon Road, Canterbury.
Houston then threatened the victim with a knife, before dragging him outside and saying he would have him killed.
He also stole the victim’s wallet and took £30.
The victim escaped and was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries to his head and chest.
While on bail in April, Houston struck again when he attacked a woman in Canterbury High Street.
He approached the victim, in her 20s, while she was walking with a friend and punched her twice in the head.
Houston pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and one count of robbery at Canterbury Crown Court on June 30 and was jailed for 20 months.
Investigating officer, detective constable Ruth Goddard, said: "Houston committed these offences whilst intoxicated, which he has a history of doing.
"He has expressed remorse for his actions but they had a significant impact on the victims involved and he will now spend a period of time in custody as a result."
