Trains were halted after a Dunelm lorry hit a railway bridge on a major route.
The collision happened on the A28 in Wincheap, Canterbury at about 8.30am today.
Traffic information site Inrix reported queuing traffic on the major route, stretching back to the junction with the A2.
It is understood the lorry has now been moved and delays are easing.
Southeastern stopped trains between the city and Dover while the strike was assessed.
They have now given them the all-clear to run.
A spokesman said on X: “The bridge at Canterbury East has been deemed safe and the line is now reopened.
“Services have begun to run again, but may still be subject to alterations or cancellations as we work to get services back to normal working times.”
Pictures show the front of the lorry has been damaged in the crash.
The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
