Three cars were involved in a rush hour accident on the London-bound Thanet Way on Wednesday morning.

Motorists experienced long delays after a blue Ford Focus was coned off between the Herne Bay and Whitstable junctions just before the Chestfield Tunnel.

One lane was closed and traffic was congested back to the Old Roman Galley junction at Marshside.

All lanes were reopened by 8.30am.
