Travellers have moved onto playing fields in Canterbury.

Washing can be seen hanging from the vans that have pitched up at Kingsmead field, off Kingsmead Road.

It is thought the group arrived sometime yesterday.

The site is owned by Canterbury City Council and last year campaigners celebrated a planning victory that will see part of the site become houses but the majority protected as an open space.
