Southeastern report rail delays after trespasser on tracks between Dover Priory and Canterbury East

There are delays on a major railway line after a trespasser made their way onto the tracks.

The incident happened between Dover Priory and Canterbury East station this morning.

Response staff from Southeastern were sent to the scene and the trespasser was “apprehended”.

As a result, trains between Dover Priory and Canterbury East were stopped but are now back running again.

Lines between London Victoria and Dover via Chatham and Canterbury were also delayed as a result.

Southeastern and British Transport Police have been approached for comment.
