Three people had to be rescued after the boat they were in broke into three pieces off the Kent coast.

The drama unfolded on Sunday morning when the vessel started taking on water near Reculver.

Margate lifeboat went the the scene and tried to tow it into Margate harbour - but the crew was unable to get the boat in dock due to the weather conditions.

Nobody on board the boat was hurt. It is not yet know what will happen to the vessel.
