Two men have appeared in court after a pensioner in his 80s was kidnapped by armed burglars and forced to withdraw money from a post office.
The elderly man's home in Sturry Road, Canterbury, was broken into on the morning of February 26 and a number of items were stolen.
He was then taken to a post office and reportedly forced to withdraw cash.
Peter Savage, 40, of New Town Street, Canterbury, and Daniel Hake, 37, of no fixed abode, have since appeared in court charged with kidnap and aggravated burglary.
Appearing at Medway Magistrates' Court, they were then remanded in custody.
They will next appear at crown court in April.
