Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on an A-road.

The incident happened on the A252 near Chilham this morning.

Ambulance and police attended Maidstone Road after reports that two vehicles had collided.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said crews were called at about 7am.

"Two people were assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford," they said.

A police spokesperson confirmed the road reopened just before 10am.
