Two injured after crash on A260 outside Broome Park Hotel in Barham near Canterbury

Two people were injured after their car smashed into a brick bollard outside a luxury hotel in the early hours.

The collision happened outside the Broome Park Hotel in Canterbury Road, Barham, near Canterbury at 5.05am yesterday.

The driver was handed a traffic offence report for not having insurance or a licence and careless driving, police say.

Paramedics attended, but their injuries were not thought to be serious.

Pictures show a black Renault Clio with a crumpled bumper next to scattered bricks outside the four-star hotel and golf course.

A police spokesman added: “We were called at 5.05am yesterday to the A260 in Barham near Canterbury following reports a car had collided with wall.

“Officers, along with Seacamb attended.

“Two people were assessed for injuries, not thought to be serious.

“One person was issued a traffic offence report for driving without insurance and no licence, as well as careless driving.”
