Two people have come forward to talk to police after a girl was shot in the face with a crossbow.
The 17-year-old student was leaving Canterbury College at 12.15pm on Thursday when her face was pierced with a metal bolt.
Police have now confirmed two people have come forward to talk to them, and they are working to establish whether any crime has been committed.
The girl, a beauty student who lives in Upstreet, was given first aid by security guards at the college in New Dover Road before paramedics arrived.
She was then taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for treatment to wounds to her lip and cheek.
Speaking afterwards, the victim's friend Georgia Brazil, 17, who witnessed the attack, said: "As we were walking out of the campus this thing just hit her in the face.
"All we saw was her drop her things on the floor and her mouth just filled with blood.
"She just kept saying 'can someone please help me, please help me'.
"I had a look around at where the dart seemed to have been fired, but couldn’t see anyone – I’ve got no idea where it came from.
"It was really, really scary."
It is thought police are investigating whether the incident was a freak accident.
Kent Police spokesman Keith Fairbank said: "Two people have since come forward and they have been spoken to by officers in relation to the incident.
"No arrests have been made and officers are considering what, if any, further action should be taken."
