A plume of black smoke bellowed across Canterbury from a tyre fire on Sunday.
Fire crews were called to Merton Lane at 4pm where about 100 tyres were alight.
No one was hurt but police closed the road for almost three hours as a precaution.
Two Canterbury crews attended and left the scene at 7.50pm.
