Russell Brand and Nigel Farage will go head-to head when Question Time comes to Canterbury next week.

Fireworks are expected when the comedian comes face-to-face with the UKIP leader he has previously labelled “that racist bloke”.

The pair will appear on the hit BBC politics show on Thursday, December 11, when it will be hosted in the Cathedral city.

Comic-turned-political activist Brand first appeared on Question Time in June 2013, where he took on Mayor of London Boris Johnson.

During the debate, he called for the “transgressions” of bankers to be punished and tax increases for the super-rich.

He also made a plea for drug addicts to be treated with greater compassion.

The appearance will be Farage’s eleventh outing on the show.

He hopes to win the Thanet South seat at next year’s General election – a constituency covering parts of rural Canterbury.

Labour MP Mary Creagh is among those also appearing on the panel.
