KENT University at Canterbury is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and is marking the occasion with a series of events over the next 12 months.
It has also commissioned a special logo to accompany its publications.
The celebrations start with a service at Canterbury Cathedral on Wednesday, January 26.
The Very Rev Robert Willis, the Dean of Canterbury, will lead the service and there will be readings by University chancellor Sir Crispin Tickell and vice-chancellor Prof David Melville, plus a special address by Dr Michael Nazir-Ali, the Bishop of Rochester.
Music will include brass fanfares and performances by organist David Flood and the University Chamber Choir.
The service takes place at 2.30pm. Tickets are free and available on a first come first served basis from the Gulbenkian Theatre box office on 01227 769075.
