CANTERBURY veterans John Maylam and Tony Jones have been selected to represent England at the Grand Masters World Cup Hockey tournament in Hong Kong next month. Maylam has been named vice-captain of the 17-man over-60s squad, while Jones will make his debut for the over-65s in the Great Grand Masters event, which runs at the same time, between September 12 and 21.

They are in Pool A with Australia, Italy, Japan and Netherlands, while Germany, Hong Kong, Scotland and South Africa compete in Pool B.
The Great Grand Masters squad are defending champions in a round-robin tournament. They play Scotland, Australia Over-70s, Germany, Japan and Scotland.
