BMX cyclist Dan Lacey filmed vaulting Canterbury's city wall

Dramatic video footage has emerged of a stunt cyclist vaulting over Canterbury’s city wall on a BMX – a drop of around 20 feet.

The feat is thought to be performed by Dan Lacey, an acrobatic cyclist who is filmed pulling off similar daredevil tricks at sites across Europe.

Cameras capture the nail-biting moment he pedals towards the wall’s edge from the raised Dane John Gardens side.

Footage then cuts to a view from the ring-road side deep below, where we see Lacey clear the wall and plunge towards the sloped ground.

But the stunt does not go to plan, and we see the cyclist takes a nasty tumble sustaining a deep cut to his shin.
