Hugh Robertson keeps his seat
The Conservatives' Hugh Robertson retained his seat in the Faversham and Mid Kent constituency, increasing his majority to more than 17,000.
Mr Robertson gained 26,250 votes, with the Lib Dems' Dave Naghi getting 9,162 and Labour's Ash Rehal 7,748. His majority at the last election had been 8,720.
He said: "It is an extremely good result to start with, having a small majority, but that has been blown out of the water.
"The extraordinary thing about tonight and what makes it a humbling experience, is that so many people put their confidence in me; it is a huge responsibility as a Member of Parliament and it is now down to me to deliver."
"I look forward to 11 o'clock tomorrow morning, starting work for a third term as MP for Faversham and Mid Kent."
Lib Dem Dave Naghi, who had all but lost his voice during the evening, said: "I'll probably be back again next time and I'll do even better."
The candidates had also included the Monster Raving Loony Party's Hairy Knorm, who gave out bananas during the evening, and won 398 votes, pledging "next time we're going to win".
The Greens' Tim Valentine gained 890 votes while Sarah Larkins (UKIP) received 1,722 votes and Graham Kemp (National Front) received 542 votes.
