Two school girls fed up of hearing the same old Christmas songs recycled each year have penned their own festive tune.
Equipped with an old computer and inspired by a reindeer drawing on the back of an envelope, teenagers Leeluu and Mazy King, based themselves in the spare room of their family home in Marshside for the no-budget production.
Now their tune – I’ve gotta Reindeer on my Roof – written one day after school has amassed 11,000 Youtube views and counting. It’s also available on itunes through online music store CD Baby.

Leeluu 14, and Mazy 12, are both pupils at Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar in Canterbury and proud dad Tony said: “People are saying they love the song, that it’s really catchy and they can’t stop signing it. It’s gone nuts since the girls released it.”
The sisters had a little help from brother Brad, 19, a CGI digital arts and animation student at UCA in Rochester, who pitched in by making the video, while family friend, Lynsey Holt, eight, was the reindeer artist.

With no record company or manager the girls, who have already had hundreds of online messages of support, are hoping people will share their home-spun hit so it gets in the charts.
The siblings say that it would be fun to beat the X Factor winner to the number one Christmas slot. Leeluu said: “We guess it’ll just be down to whether the media like the song enough to tell people about it and then people sharing it like crazy.”
