Police have warned women and girls in Canterbury as a violent rapist remains on the run six days after disappearing from a buddhist monastery.
Malcolm Millman, 58, who was sentenced to 12 years for rape in 1996, was at Chadwick Lodge, a secure facility in Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, Bucks.
He disappeared on Saturday, October 25, on a day out to St Margarets Amaravati Buddhist monastery near Hemel Hempstead in Hertforshire.
Millman was seen at Manchester Airport Railway Station on Monday at about 12.30pm, but police say he has links to Canterbury.
Thames Valley Police also issued a warning to women and girls revealing Millman previously threatened his victims with a weapon.
The public has been warned not to approach Millman and call 999.
Millman withdrew a large amount of money from cash points during the weekend and has been using public transport.
He may also be booking into hotels or hostels although he is not believed to have boarded a plane and he does not have a passport.
Millman is described as white, of large build, bald with thinning brown hair on the sides, and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a brown jacket, purple jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms and blue and white trainers. He also uses a walking stick.
He has medical conditions including a heart condition and diabetes so he may be seeking medication.
He is also known by the names: Richard Simon Barber, Michael Geoffrey Newman and Raymond Pilkington.
Det Supt Chris Ward from Major Crime, said: "I want to urge everybody to remain vigilant. If you see this man, please do not approach him but contact the police."
