Residents are being urged to take extra care tonight as freezing temperatures are expected across Kent.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning as ice may form on untreated roads and pavements leading to potentially hazardous travel for motorists and pedestrians alike.
An ongoing cold snap has brought snow to parts of the county this week, and the forecast suggests things will not warm up significantly in the next 24 hours.
The Met Office yellow warning will remain in place until 9am tomorrow and affects much of the east of the country.
It states: "After evening wintry showers die out, skies should largely become clear across the warning area, allowing temperatures to quickly fall below freezing.
"Where surfaces remain damp and are untreated, ice will form leading to potential impacts for those travelling this evening, overnight, and first thing tomorrow."
People are urged to take extra care to avoid injuries from slips and falls.
Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths could also cause issues overnight.
A number of schools in Kent were forced to close earlier in the week because of the snowfall, mainly in the north and west of the county.
Kent County Council has urged residents to look out for vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours.
