A hardware store is selling Christmas trees for a pound.
B&Q's Canterbury store is flogging off the festive fir trees for £1, days before the highlight of the holiday period.
Bargain-savvy shoppers in the city have been excitedly sharing the find, which was discovered yesterday by a member of Facebook's Canterbury Residents' Group.
Homeowners in the nearby Ashford Borough can register with Pilgrims Hospice for a Christmas tree recycling scheme, where the charity will take the plants away before Saturday, January 11 in return for a donation.
Meanwhile, B&Q in Dartford is also selling bargain Christmas trees - but not quite as cheap. The store in Prospect Place Retail Park has them for £3 each.
