Woman hit by car in rush hour crash

A woman has been injured after a rush hour crash on Canterbury's ring road.

Emergency services were called just after 4.30pm to Broad Street, after a female pedestrian was hit by a car.

Traffic was reported to be gridlocked on Lower Bridge Street following the incident, but the road has now been cleared.

The woman was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
