A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car near a Waitrose store.

Police were called to the incident just after 11am in St George’s Place, Canterbury.

Officers attended alongside paramedics.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

South East Coast Ambulance Service has also been contacted for comment.
