A woman has been taken to a London hospital after a car overturned in a crash in the early hours of this morning.

It happened at around 2.40am on the A28 Island Road in Canterbury close to the junction with Sarre.

All emergency services went to the scene which saw the driver blue-lighted to hospital.

A police spokesman said: "Her injuries were not believed to be life threatening."

The road remained closed until about 1.30pm.
