A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted near the Marlowe Theatre in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called to The Friars, in Canterbury, just after midnight.

Police attended and arrested a 33-year-old man from London who remains in police custody.

A police spokesperson said: "Enquiries regarding the full circumstances of the incident remain ongoing."
