Women in Canterbury are the most aggressive drivers in the country, it has been revealed.
Results from an online test, designed to discover how angry motorists feel in a variety of different situations, have shown that female drivers from the city are the most volatile in the UK.
Canterbury’s females scored 87 out of 100 in the annoyance stakes whereas men from the city scored just 49.
The Road Rage Ranker, created by Jennings Motor Group, works by sliding a pointer to the desired measurement of anger for the top 10 habits that drive people mad.
Motorist scores are then compared to work out the overall rankings.
There were 10 misdemeanours highlighted in the test which included things such as tailgating, drivers on the phone, bad parking and drivers who don’t give way when they should.
The top three angriest groups were Canterbury women, followed by females in Cardiff with a score of 83 and Bristol females came in third place with 80.6.
The rest of the top 10 was made up by males from Lincoln, Dundee and Hull and females from Nottingham, Carlisle, Northampton and Hull.
Jennings Motor Group's, Dale Gillespie, said: “We all know that road rage exists but we tend to think that men are more aggressive behind the wheel.
“Although women may not get into road rage fist fights, it is clear from these results that women can drive aggressively and get even more irritated by other motorists than men.”
If you need help tackling your road rage, the motor group has provided some top tips for keeping calm on the road.
