Youths arrested over attack on Italian student

THREE people have been arrested in connection with the robbery and assault of an Italian student in a Kent city.

The 15-year-old victim was wating for a coach near the junction of Reed Avenue and Sturry Road, Canterbury, at around 3.45am on Saturday when a group of English youths approached.

He was assaulted and had his suitcase stolen. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured and was able to travel to Gatwick Airport.

Police later found the suitcase and arrested two 18-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy. They have been released on bail pending a Crown Prosecution Service decision to prosecute.
