More than 80 drivers including 13 entries in the headlining Supercar category will arrive at Lydden Hill on Bank Holiday Monday for round six of the MSA British Rallycross Championship.
The event, which will feature action from nine classes, has attracted a total of 87 entries including a number of Kent-based racers.
Devon-based teenager Dan Rooke leads the Supercar standings by 21 points from five-time champion Julian Godfrey, with London-based Irishman Ollie O’Donovan in third.
Rooke, who drives a Citroen DS3, will be keen to repeat his dominant performance at the last round in Belgium and previously won at Lydden earlier in the season.
In the Supernational class, Faversham’s Stuart Emery, 44, is set to return to competitive action after being forced to miss the last round in Belgium following a cycling accident.
He broke a collarbone, damaged three ribs and punctured a lung in the crash, but will be back behind the wheel of his Peugeot 206 machine.
Emery will share the paddock with Canterbury’s Simon Ovenden, who is just nine points shy of Pluckley-based Nathan Heathcote in the Swift Sport Rallycross Championship.
They will join Deal pair Rob Maynard and Don Macleod in the one-make class, with the former celebrating his 40th birthday on Monday.
Sittingbourne-based Darren Scott will make his first appearance of the season at Lydden, handling his 1.6-litre Swift.
Ashford’s Fred Ling – son of former rallycross campaigner Dave – will line up in the Hot Hatch class, taking on Tunbridge Wells-based Graham Rumsey.
Canterbury’s Tristan Ovenden, 41, will be looking to maintain his lead in the Super 1600 class aboard his Suzuki Swift.
He will face tough competition from Dartford’s Paul Coney, who debuted his all-new Vauxhall Corsa at Lydden earlier in the season.
Action gets underway at 9am on Bank Holiday Monday.
