Canterbury had a day to forget as they went down 21-14 in National League Three South contest at Henley on Saturday.
Dave Marshall was taken to hospital in Reading with a facial injury sustained late in the game and a second half red card for prop Mark Livesey didn't help their cause.
Tries by Michael Melford and James Birnage were both converted by Gert De Kock, but Canterbury paid the price for an indifferent performance, with a consolation bonus point their only reward.
Meanwhile, Westcombe Park were soundly beaten 21-55 at home by Stourbridge in the Second Division.
