Ebbsfleet produced a brilliant display in the FA Cup as they thrashed Kent rivals Hythe 7-1 at Stonebridge Road.

Matt Godden netted a hat-trick and Charlie Sheringham netted two as the Vanarama Conference South side proved too strong for the Ryman League Division 1 South outfit.

Ryman League Premier Division leaders Maidstone United made it through to the Third Qualifying Round after a last-minute strike from Jack Parkinson against Brentwood at The Gallagher.

Brentwood did take a shock lead through Robbie Rees, before Ben Greenhalgh levelled. It was looking like a draw until Parkinson's late heroics.

However, Premier Division rivals Margate suffered a surprise home defeat at the hands of Barton Rovers. Charlie Allen netted for Gate in a 2-1 reverse.

Faversham's FA Cup run ended in disappointing style as they were heavily beaten 4-0 at Maidenhead.

The Ryman League Division 1 South trailed 1-0 at the break before three second-half goals in the last 20 minutes ended their dream as they pushed for an equaliser.

Elsewhere, Bromley progressed thanks to a 5-1 home win against Uxbridge. Greenwich are also in the hat for the third round draw after beating Beaconsfield SYCOB 3-1.

However, Tonbridge lost 2-1 at Redhill and VCD were well beaten at home against Harrow, going down 4-0.
