Kent County Cricket Club increased their gate receipt income for domestic matches for the sixth successive year in 2018.
The club set a new benchmark as they bettered their figures by £119,194, with Royal London One Day Cup knockout stage outings at Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire combining with the final at Lord's in generating £123,000.
An EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) profit of £414,192 eventually came down to £1,967 following the aforementioned deductions, as revealed in a press release on the club's official website.
Kent's finances were also evidently boosted by their non-match day income, with the Spitfire Ground staging two concerts and 6000 people attending the club's annual Fireworks Evening.
A growth in the turnover from the St. Lawrence Clinic is noted as another contributing factor, while the club also injected £700,000 into community and schools cricket throughout the county.
Kent Cricket Chief Executive Officer, Simon Storey, said: "Our 2018 results demonstrate the continued progress that the club is making on and off the field.
"It is crucial that we continue to focus on delivering the long term financial sustainability that is needed to underpin our cricketing ambitions.
"It’s great to see that the on-field success of our professional Men’s team has had a direct correlation to improved finances, through gate receipts and prize money payments.
"Our financial performance is testament the work of a growing number of supporters, members, commercial partners and volunteers who continue to support us."
