Kent Women have added England international Kirstie Gordon to their squad for the 2020 season.

The 22-year-old left-arm spinner has played for Nottinghamshire Women since 2016, taking six wickets in five Royal London County Championship matches last season and eight wickets in four National T20 matches in 2019 at a bowling average of just 6.50.

She boasted an economy rate of just 3.71 runs per over, taking a wicket, on average, every 10.5 deliveries.

Scotland-born Gordon finished last summer's National T20 competition as the league’s ninth highest wicket-taker in Division 1, despite bowling far fewer overs than her counterparts in the top 10.

For the past two seasons, she has also featured for the Loughborough Lightning in the Kia Super League (KSL), taking 37 wickets in 25 career KSL appearances at only 14.48, with best figures of 3-13 against the Surrey Stars in August 2018.

Gordon has played for England in Test and T20I cricket, making her Test debut against Australia at Taunton in July when she took the wickets of Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning on her way to match figures of 3-119.

She has also played five T20Is for England, taking eight wickets at a bowling average of 12.25.

Her best figures of 3-6 came on her debut against Bangladesh in November 2018.
