OFFICIALS of the Canterbury Blades Fencing Club are to run a beginners' course at the city's Northgate Ward Community Centre. The aim will be to teach the basics of the sport in one month.

Club coach Tony Burwash said: "The club has been focused on fencing competitions lately but now qwe are devoting some time to teaching beginners. Anyone interested has only got to turn up at northgate any Monday at about 8pm and we will do the rest."
