South African overseas all-rounder Beyers Swanepoel is set to have his Kent stay cut short.
Swanepoel had initially been due to remain in Canterbury until the end of the English summer - but, instead, has been selected by South Africa A for their four-day series against Sri Lanka A from September 8 until September 18.
It means he will be unavailable from relegation-threatened Kent’s County Championship Division 1 match away at Worcestershire from Thursday, August 22, onwards and Spitfires’ Metro Bank One-Day Cup Final, should they progress that far.
The 26-year-old has featured in 14 matches for Kent so far this season across all formats.
In three County Championship games, he has averaged 22.40, with a high score of 54, and has claimed five wickets at 53.40.
Spitfires visit Worcestershire in the One-Day Cup on Wednesday in their next fixture.
