There was a home winner for the locals to cheer after Invicta East Kent AC's Cole Gibbens set the pace at Sunday's Pentland Homes Canterbury 10-mile road race, and KM Group photographer Barry Goodwin captured all the action.

Gibbens finished 1min52sec ahead of Dartford Harriers' Ben Stephenson to win in 52.15. Hastings AC's Rhys Boorman completed the men's top three in 54.05.

Chelsea Baker of Bristol & West AC won the ladies’ race in a new course-record time of 58.04 ahead of Hastings AC’s Grace Baker - no relation to the winner - in 59.57, while third home was former Invicta East Kent athlete Imogen Amos, who now runs for Tonbridge AC, in 1hr00min25sec on her debut over the distance.
