Australian cricket legend Shane Warne passed on some of his bowling secrets when he visited Kent's St Lawrence Ground last week.

Warne, who took 708 Test wickets during his illustrious career, was in Canterbury to conduct a coaching master class at the Kent Academy as well as have lunch with some competition winners.

Kent Academy manager James Medhurst was delighted with how the big day went.

“It was fantastic to have Shane Warne come to see us at the Academy," he said.

"It was a great opportunity for the players and coaches on show to benefit from the wealth of experience that someone like Shane has.

"I’d like to say a big thank you to our partners, 888.com, for choosing Kent County Cricket Club (for the event). I think it further outlines the fact that people realise we have very impressive facilities. Everyone enjoyed it. It was an excellent day for all concerned.”
