Kent's Sam Billings named in England T20 squad for five-match series in India

The squad will leave London on February 26 with the first game taking place on March 12. The matches continue every other day with the final game on March 20.

Billings said: "I always love playing cricket in India! Cannot wait to get back out there, should be an amazing series."

England will also play three one-day internationals after the T20 action but the squad for those matches is yet to be announced.

Billings has played 30 T20 internationals, scoring 391 runs at an average of 17. His best score of 87 came in March 2019 against West Indies.

Once again there is no place for Kent team-mate Joe Denly in the England squad. There is a call-up for Lancashire’s Liam Livingstone after he enjoyed an impressive Big Bash League campaign in Australia.

England’s T20 Squad: Eoin Morgan (Middlesex, captain), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Jofra Archer (Sussex), Jonathan Bairstow (Yorkshire), Sam Billings (Kent), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Sam Curran (Surrey), Tom Curran (Surrey), Chris Jordan (Sussex), Liam Livingstone (Lancashire), Dawid Malan (Yorkshire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Jason Roy (Surrey), Ben Stokes (Durham), Reece Topley (Surrey), Mark Wood (Durham).
