Canterbury avoided a potential cup upset after comfortably beating Edgbaston in the third round of the EHL Knockout Cup.
The unbeaten Conference East leaders beat the lowest ranked team in the competition 5-2.
Tom Richford opened the scoring for Canterbury after just four minutes and Matt Reeve doubled the lead before the break.

Maidstone were 5-1 down by the time Waldron added his second. Chris Bassano-Harper pulled two more back but there was no chance of a fightback as Sheffield struck a sixth.
Bromley and Beckenham men suffered an 8-4 home defeat to Cannock.
Daniel Holmes scored a hat-trick for BromBeck but it wasn’t enough to help his side as they crashed out to their Premier Division opponents.
Cannock’s half-time lead was limited to 3-2 but they rallied in the second half and had scored seven before Daniel Holmes struck a consolation for the hosts.
