Canterbury 30 Rosslyn Park 27
CANTERBURY staged a remarkable recovery to pip Rosslyn Park with the last kick of the match in National League Division 3 at Merton Lane on Saturday.
A Wessel Wolmarans penalty goal gave the city club maximum league points at the end of a stirring second-half fightback.
Referring to a first half which ended with the visitors leading 27-3, Canterbury head coach Danny Vaughan said: "We must learn to focus for 80 minutes. It's a mental thing."
An early Wolmarans penalty put the home side ahead, but Rosslyn Park then took command running in four tries.
But Canterbury were a side transformed after the break and four tries, two from Rowan O'Gorman, one from Andy Pratt and one from Chris Hinkins levelled matters before Wolmarans won it at the death.
