Canterbury 3 Cinderford 24

CANTERBURY'S slump in form showed no signs of recovery as they were beaten by 24-3 by a well-organised side who had little trouble in consolidating their second place in National League 3 South.

Cinderford were also handed an open invitation to kill off the game as three city club forwards were sin-binned in the space of 12 second half minutes.

The visitors were never going to pass up that chance and their increasingly dominant pack scored two late tries against the depleted ranks.

Canterbury did have poor luck with injuries as they first lost scrum half Nicky Woodbridge and then skipper Chris Hinkins in the first 20 minutes.

A Sam Rasch penalty after 25 minutes was all Canterbury had to show for their afternoon's endeavour.

Despite the half-time score being 3-3, Cinderford kicked two penalties and scored three tries in the second half while Jamie Forsyth, Andy Bernthal and Blair Morris were all sent to the sin bin.
